Rumors were, Samsung is introducing a foldable phone which might be or might not be called S10. Then, we also heard Galaxy S10 might be the company’s first 5G phone.

A very popular phone leaker, Evan Bass tweeted on 8th December that the S10 might have three versions, i.e., S10 Lite, S10 Beyond 1, and S10+ Beyond 2.

The company did insinuate towards using a different moniker this time.

“Although Samsung will stick to Galaxy, we have been thinking about whether we need to maintain the S moniker or the numbering system,”

–Koh Dong-jin

Another leak afterward gave us a brand new name for the phones. According to that leak, Samsung’s new flagship phones were to be called Beyond 0, Beyond 1, and Beyond 2.

The three phones are 5.8”, 6.1”, and 6.4” respectively.

So what makes us believe that the probability of this news to be true is more? Well, another popular phone leaker, Ice Universe tweeted about it twice.

Does ‘side fingerprint recognition’ ring any bell? Yes, the feature is old school and many previous phones such as Xperia Z5, Honor 7i, and Nextbit Robin, etc.

The guy just tweeted:

Galaxy S10 Lite looks like this might look like this.
(Sorry, I modified it a bit) pic.twitter.com/lQnZt3wWx5

The image might be a bit modified, but we get the idea that the phone will have a Lite version.

What is interesting to note here is the recently leaked S10+ prototype showed its front camera lens in the middle whereas this very leak shows the front lens to be on the top right side. Probably, the company made the maximum use of the smaller screen in S10 Lite version.

It is also expected that the two high-end versions, i.e., Beyond 1 and Beyond 2 are going to have in-display fingerprints and the smaller version will have the fingerprint sensor on the side. Let’s see how true do these rumors prove to be.

Meanwhile, count on the following specs by Ice Universe:

  • AI-specific chipset, with CPU, GPU, and separate neural processor
  • 5G modem
  • UFS 3.0 storage
  • LPDDR5 RAM
  • 93 percent or more screen-to-body ratio
  • 9th-generation mobile Super AMOLED display
  • 3D AI processing with a camera
  • L-shaped battery

The company launched A8s just yesterday in China which is Samsung’s first Infinity-O handset in the country. Summing up, there’s a lot to look forward to from the company; a foldable phone (rumored as Galaxy F), Beyond family, and the most anticipated 5G phone.

Let’s see how long is the wait and whether it’s worth it or not!
