Google launched its Pixel 3 and Pixel XL smartphones on October 18, 2018. However, the company is facing issues of Pixel 3 due to the management of RAM.
Google Pixel 3 users smartphone experienced the problems with the apps closing automatically while running in the background. It becomes inconvenient for users who spent a lot of efforts to purchase a smartphone worth $800. The users also reported numerous bugs and photo saving issues.
Google has acknowledged this memory problem. The company issued the statement from 9to5 Google:

“We’re rolling out a software update in the coming weeks to keep background apps from being prematurely closed in certain situations.”

Many owners complained about the memory problem of the smartphone. Users tweeted with the issues they faced especially the running background app and the challenges of picture saving issues.

Same with Pocket Casts. I know the camera uses a lot of resources, but hilarious that the system doesn't protect ongoing media processes.

Confirmed this issue also occurs with YouTube Music playing in the background. @madebygoogle needs to work on a fix ASAP!

So you can see from the tweets above, the users complained about the memory problem and were dissatisfied about the background app shutting down while running. They also stated that the pictures they took were not saved and loses data of what they’ve protected.
Other users stated that when they open other apps say Twitter, the app closes itself when they open other apps. Usually, recent and most used stays open in the background and run for quick, convenient access once you returned the app.
Owners also stated about Spotify; the app randomly closes itself when other apps are in use. They mentioned they need to open it again when owners return to where they have started. Re-opening the apps can be very frustrating and can take several minutes longer than reloading the app. The gaming apps need to recharge entirely compared to standard apps.
Apart from the issue, the users are not quite happy with the price tag; $800 for Pixel 3 and $900 for Pixel XL and then get it fixed as well. They also stated that it had not been a problem with other devices.
Smartphone users were forced to quit Spotify, after the issues with the Pixel 3 camera. The device did not have enough space to store Spotify as it needs enough room for Google AI-powered camera.
Since the smartphone has a 4GB RAM, which has a low memory for Android smartphones. An Android smartphone should be almost up to 6GB RAM. Speaking of RAM, there is brief information; a short-term memory where a device like a phone or a computer can store the apps and reopen it. It does not require to open the app again. The higher the RAM, the more apps can be stored.
At the moment Google did not specify the deadline to resolve the problem. However, the company stated that it would arrive with a monthly security update. It seems that the issue will be dealt with in the December’s release.
Stay tuned to our updates!
