GAB IS DOWN: GoDaddy gave 24-hours to gab for switching to another service

Gab, the most controversial social network nowadays, is hit by another renowned company named ‘GoDaddy,’ the domain service provider. Unfortunately, Gab has been utilizing GoDaddy’s domain services from the very first day of its launch.

Currently, Gab is down; its official site Gab.com is inaccessible for the users as GoDaddy has given a 24-hours deadline to Gab for moving to another service. GoDaddy took this action to keep the pace with other technology companies including PayPal, Stripe, and Joyent.

Further, GoDaddy declared that Gab had violated the company’s terms and conditions.

It had appeared that Robert Bowers, who professedly shot and killed eleven people at a Pittsburgh synagogue on Saturday, had a history of posting anti-Semitic thoughts on Gab social network.

GoDaddy confirmed its verdict in a statement to media.

“We have informed Gab.com that they have 24 hours to move the domain to another provider, as they have violated our terms of service. In response to complaints received over the weekend, GoDaddy investigated and discovered numerous instances of content on the site that both promotes and encourages violence against people.”

Gab is inaccessible and showing the following message on its official site that the company is:

Under attack” and “working around the clock to get Gab.com back online” with the new service provider.

“We have been smeared by the mainstream media for defending free expression and individual liberty for all people and for working with law enforcement to ensure that justice is served for the horrible atrocity committed in Pittsburgh,” Gab officials added.

Yesterday, Gab tweeted that “network would likely be down for weeks.” However, the latest tweet revealed that the site would be “back soon.” In the meantime, other top technology companies including Apple, Microsoft, and Google have taken a hard stance to pull Gab from their platforms.

The company tweeted this and asked people to share as much as possible:
